Today is my 2nd annual 30th birthday, filled with good eats and treats. All you can eat Japanese food for lunch (Aji Sai on Queen West), cake in the afternoon, haircut at Urban Textures on Gerrard with my fave stylist, J.C., mojitos & pasta at The Corner Place on Jarvis and an ice cream cone at McD’s to end the night!

After weeks, months, years of going to bed late and waking up early, my old ass finally couldn’t keep up anymore and went to bed at 9:30 last night and promptly fell asleep shortly after. I haven’t gone to bed before 10pm since I was probably 10 years old. The evil internets is usually the reason why I’m up so late. I get caught up watching youtube, streaming tv shows or looking at foolishness like these sites…

Is this unintentionally suggestive or marketing genius? Maybe I’m just immature but this Shake Weight looks like a workout for the “pros” and I ain’t talking about professional athletes.

Stemming from a conversation of frugal finds, the $30 challenge was born.  The rules were as follows:

Budget of $30 before tax for a complete look.
Must be separates.  Top, bottom AND shoes.  No dresses allowed.
No gifts allowed.  Must be purchased from a store.
And most importantly, must be wearable in public!

Though I’m always on the hunt for bargains, it wasn’t easy to find a complete look for $30. I was done by Wednesday and spent most of Thursday trash talking since …

I decided to just launch my blog as is.  If I wait until I finish tweaking it, I’ll never do it.  I’ve been “testing” for two months now.  Creating a website/blog for myself is like moving into a new home — it can take months to get all the pieces right.
